Hi,

I have installed the c360 Dup. Detection application, and I cannot get the service to start, no matter what credentials I use to start the service.  Does the Dup. Detection work on the .net Framework 2.0?  Is there something else that I can try?  Thanks.

This is the error that I receive in the c360 Error Log:

Exception while starting the service: The type initializer for "c360.DuplicateDetection.Util" threw an exception. : at c360.DuplicateDetection.Util.GetConfigValueFromKey(String Key)

Mark,

our products run on .NET version 1.1 because that's the version that is required for CRM as well. This may be something that is causing the problem. Also, the stack trace that you included was clipped. Please see if you can paste the entire trace or PM it to me. If all else fails, email it to support@c360.com. This will allow us to investigate the problem further.

Hi,

The ASP.NET version was actually the issue, we uninstalled the c360 suite, registered ASP.NET v1.1 with the default web site, reinstalled and the Dup. Checker worked fine, and we also noticed a considerable performance boost right across the board as well.  That being said, has there been any benchmarking of a full Dup. Check process?  I would be interested to know how long a full process has taken on different sites, and how many Accounts / Contacts / Leads were in the system.  Either way, thanks for the input!

Mark,

I don't have any benchmarks but we are currently working on an improvement to the product that would allow you to be able to check the progress of the current batch. This would allow you to derive how long it will take to complete. This feature will be available in a future release. At this time, I don't know when this release will be available but I'll go ahead and guess that it will be some time during Q2-06.
