Posted 1/31/2007 9:17:12 AM | | | | Thx alot for the tip. We have spent hours now trying to change the files as you pointed out. We used a lot of imagination! Yet all we managed to acomplish was that under "Cases" all cases, active and inactive, appeared. We even went so far as to switch the entire programming with a different View. But as soon as we use the c360 "Case Number Search Cell" it gives us the message, 'no records found' when searching for a resolved case. It seems as though the search cell itself only looks for active cases. We are not amused about the fact, that the admins here still haven't answer our question concerning the approx. date when the release will arrive. Good customer service. |

| Posted 2/15/2007 6:49:50 PM | | | | So today I noticed a very different behavior. If I use the "seach all" function in either the MF seach or a console search, it will only show active records. If I use a specific button (account, contacts, etc) it actually displays both active and inactive records, this is very strange since I do not believe this worked this way just a couple weeks ago. Using Console 3.0.8.217 and same for multifield seach. This would be very handy in a number of consoles I have to build but users expect the same actions and results with the seach all vs. specific buttons and this is already causing confusion for my users. |
| Posted 2/16/2007 2:55:56 PM | | | | The change to Console Search whereby individual users can specify whether to display inactive entities will be made available as a patch on Mar 20th. Denzel - Yes, we just discovered this issue earlier this week that in this latest release, inactive entities are being shown. Maurice - Sorry for the delay in response. Was waiting to confirm the dates before I could post something. thanks

| Posted 2/22/2007 12:25:46 PM | | | | My suggestion would be that the actually (if possible) be an option within the cell configuration within Console as well. There are some record types (incidents) that seeing both active and resolved records would be very helpful. There are some record types (contacts, accounts) that this would make the search results pointless. Not sure how much would be required in making this part of a cell configuration vs. overall multifield search configuration. |

Denzel, Yes, the setting would be applicable to individual search cells within Console. For example if you have 2 search cells, you can set one to show 'active' records only and the other to show both 'active' and 'inactive' records. thanks
