We are trying to import notes from source data into CRM Annotations. We are having problems getting the notes to import in the correct order. We want the oldest records to appear as the oldest notes. Therefore we have sorted the source data so that the oldest records appear at the top of a sql table and should therefore be imported first.

We have tried to issue sql commands to order by ‘date’ fields or unique integer fields on pre-sorted data. However no matter what we try, Import Manager imports the data in a random order.

Is there anyway to get the data imported in the order that we dictate? Does Import Manager import data in a random order?
