Posted 8/21/2006 7:33:41 PM | | | | Hello, I really the like the cross-entity capabilities of Multi-Field Search. However, can you tell me if you can select which columns to display in the search results, similar to the way it can be done for Advanced Find in CRM 3.0? Also, are the search results exportable to excel, and in different formats like with CRM (Standard worksheet, Dynamic worksheet, Dynamic PivotTable)? Thanks!

However, can you tell me if you can select which columns to display in the search results, similar to the way it can be done for Advanced Find in CRM 3.0? The fields that show up in the results of a Multi-Field Search are determined by the "Quick Find View" settings in CRM. So we use the global settings you have established in CRM to determine the fields that show up - so no, it is not customizable like the Advanced Find Query in that aspect. Also, are the search results exportable to excel, and in different formats like with CRM (Standard worksheet, Dynamic worksheet, Dynamic PivotTable)? You can export the data to itself to Excel as a standard worksheet, but it cannot be exported to Excel to be dynamic. Thanks for your post!

| Posted 12/14/2006 2:55:51 PM | | | | While it would be nice if the fields were customizable like the search criteria. The views from my quick find views do not match what is displayed in the Multi-Field Search results. If I search just cases the results match the case quick view but if I search all, then the results do not match they pull a different set of views. any ideas or suggestions. |
