Mark,

Yes Relationship Explorer is accessible from custom entities as well. If the custom entity is added after Relationship Explorer is installed, the 'Relationship Explorer' link can be added to the isv.config.xml file.

It looks something like below and it needs to be below the custom entity's section is the isv.config file
