The activity actually stays open. This is the only activity type that stays open when using the quick activity.
This causes extra work when an activity is thought to have been completed but when you go to resolve your case you are prevented from doing so due to open activities
Every time I talk to someone on the phone I use the "Quick Activity" to record my conversation and I can tell you that the activity is indeed marked as closed as expected. I know that to close the activity, our tool has to save it first and then it must change the status to "Closed" in a second operation. I am guessing that in your case, this second operation fails for some reason. You may want to check the event logs in case you can find some details about the error otherwise you will have to look at the SOAP trafic between our product and the MSCRM web services. In order to do that, we use a tool called "Soap Trace tool" which is availabel for free on Microsoft's web site. If you don't feel confortable doing it yourself, feel free to open a trouble ticket and someone on our support team will be happy to assist you.
Another question about the quick activity, we do not use the fax or letter activity type in our rollout, can these be removed from the available options?
No.

RE: Quick Activity

OK. here is a update.
