WordMailMerge Install Error

I am unable to get Word Mail Merge to work. Each time I install it I get the following error:

On this machine is no WordMailMerge Client installed!
You need MS Word (I have) and the WordMailMerge Client on this machine to create letters.
Error nr.:-2147024894
ReadRegistry version:Invalid root in registry key
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\c360
\CRMMailMerge\version".
If you have troubles to solve this issue contact your System Administrator.

Anyone help please?

HI,

I wonder if anyone can help

I installed mail merge and it is not working because of the following criteria it needs

username: administrator

pass: *******

domain: blue.local(this is the domain on my computer name tab)

crm server: http://sbs:5555 (this is the path of my crm)

These details are not working, and more to the point it will not let me unistall word merge either, it also pops up with the box askign for these details

What is happening? does anyone know??

I have a requirement where in a field has an aplhanumerice value ...a string like xyz 0000 to xyz 9999 ..if the values is in between this range then I shud print certain text ...else i shud not ..

Word Mail Merge template not working

Hi there,

I am currently trying to o a quote template using word mail merge for CRM 4.0. When I click the button 'Print Quote for Customer', whatever that is defined in the if statements {IF = {MERGESEQ} =" 1 " does not appear and only one line item appears that is not within the if statements. I used the defaullt quote template that comes with the CRM 4.0 system. When I remove the if statements the quote template shows the content but produces multiple pages for multiple line items. Would using Word 2007 make the content not to show?

Any ideas why this would be occuring

Custom Quote Template

Hi All,

I have a template created that includes text and then I am trying to insert all the fields from a product quote, however when I pull the data in from CRM, I end up with all the text, then a single product line, then all the text again then the next product line and so on and so-forth for all the products in the quote!

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Error in Word Mail Merge

Hi there,

I'm trying to "print in word" and there is an error comming up that says:

Error nr.:2 print_gen.aspx
The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS.
The token supplied to the function is invalid

Everything seems to be fine on the server for the configuration of the c360.

Have you got any idea of how I could resolve it?

I'm new in WordMailMerge. I need to import data from MS CRM 3.0 to WordMailMerge. When I enter more thant 1 product, I get quote and invoice with the first product. What do I need to do I could get quote and invoice with all products?

Error when opening templates

Installed the WordMailMerge and it has been working fine, then one day, when trying to open a template, the following error pops up:

LogonUser failed with error code : 1367

Anyone know what error code 1367 means?

Document Name Editor

Hi, A client of me ask me why some of his documents aren't named correctly. After a research, it seems that, when a field being part of the document name is not inserted inside the document as a merge field, it can be used for generating the name of the document. so here the example:

Suppose a field new_myfield related to a contact entity. This field cannot be used in the Document Name Editor of the document properties if the field if not effectively inserted for merge somrewhere inside the document.

Can you confirm my supposition or explain me how to use this field for naming the document without inserting the field for merge inside the document?

Hi,

Is is possible to create a Sales Order template in Word Mail Merge displaying Sales Order Line items?

I have tried putting SO header fields and used SO details fields with {NEXT salesorderdetails} statement between SO fields line

ex:

{MERGEFIELD salesorderdetails_productid_name\*MERGEFORMAT}{NEXT salesorderdetails\*MERGEFORMAT}

and this is actually listing all sales order details line items.

But if after this I try to insert another field from sales order header it doesn't populate.

If any one has done this before I would appreciate his help!

Merging Table Data, Check Boxes, Parent/Child/Grandchild Entity

A client I am at is evaluating Word Mail Merge. We have a few requirements that I need info/help with.

1) There are multiple tables in a Word Template that I am pulling information into. The issue is that for each row I am hitting the same field entitiy but for different entries. For example I could have multiple opportunities under an account that I need to list the Opportunity Description and say created date. When I attempt this now I am getting the first opportunity record duplicated in multiple rows.

2) I have check boxes in a templete. Is there an ablitiy to insert a bit filed as a checkbox. For example adding a X in the Yes Box or X in a No Box

3) I have been able to bring in fields from a Parent and Child entity. Does Word Mail Merge have the ability to do a Parent/Child/Grandchild relationship in a Template. If so are there any Gottcha's involved.

Mail Merge and Desktop client

I have a project where they have purchased the Mail Merge product and all the users will be using the Desktop Client. They are having problems with running Mail Merge on the desktop client but we are not sure whether Mail Merge runs with the desktop client or just the web client. Could someone please help.

WordMailMergeDataProvider Error

Hello:

After I install the client component,my WordMailMergeDataProvider can't work. The error information is that Error:WordMailMerge DataProvider is not working properly.

I push the Restart service button then I get the information that is Error resetting service! Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Hi,

I'm testing word mail merge with the CRM 3.0. I've been having a problem, when people are doing "print in word" of a quote or an order at the same time sometimes it comes other people's order. Let's say that I want to print in word an order of a client called "company1" and other person using CRM wants to print in word another order of the client called "company2" (of course they are 2 completely different clients), it happens sometimes that i could come in my screen the company2's order and the company1's order would come in the another user screen (do you know what I mean?)

Do you know why this is happening?

using if...then...else with pictures

I'm creating a booklet, on each page is a person's contact info, bio, and for some, but not all, a photo. I am merging all the data from excel; for the photos, there is an excel field called Photo with the name of each photo and I'm using the IncludePicture command to merge these. What I want is for Word to insert a photo when the Photo field has info in it and NOT insert a photo when that field is blank. I've tried to nest the IncludePicture inside an if...then..else statement but it's not working for me. Here's how I have it below. Any thoughts how to make it work??

Word Mail Merge toolbar not visible

I installed the client version of Word Mail Merge and initially it was working fine. A few days later I opened Word and the Word Mail Merge toolbar was not there. I reinstalled the client component and still can't see the toolbar. Any ideas on why this is happening would be appreciated.

Why Word Mail Merge is so slow in my machine?

Hi people,

I'm implementing a MS CRM 3.0 on a Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server, the server is an Intel Xeon 2.8 GHz with 4 GB of RAM, there are around 20 users using the system.

The problem comes when they have to print a quote or an order, the word mail merge takes around a minute to do that process.

Is there a way to speed this process up?

There is also the same problem for "send as PDF" process, we use the Adobe PDF which works fine when it's used just to print a pdf but when it's used with the Word Mail Merge it takes ages to attach the email into the CRM and then remains a progress bar in 50% per cent that never finishes.

Mail Merge errors after adding 3rd party product

We were successfully using mail merge on our dev environment. We are now getting errors. We added another ISV product to our system. It did make some pretty big changes to entities and relationships. We have now been able to put back all our customizations and everything is working except this. Has anyone seen this before. We have reinstalled C360 twice on both the client and server. Some mail merges will run but not any in our opportunity entity (most important).

First error
f_fetchXML_direct error - return <error>

Second Error
Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

Word Mail Merge Date Format

Hi,

we are currently evaluating the MailMerge component for our customer and want to use a date field in a Word document. The problem is that date fields are displayed in the format 2007-01-01T00:00:00-08:00 ignoring the date format settings of the CRM organization and the Date Only / Date And Time setting of the field.

Is there a way to change this behavior?

Word Mail Merge IE Script Error

When placing pre-built Word templates directly into a c360 template folder by following C:>Program Files>c360>Templates>1080, etc... you get the following error

Description/Resolution:

You will get the error that described above if you attempt to take a Word template that you have already built (i.e., it already contains merge field values in it) in a separate CRM environment (say for instance in a development or test CRM environment) and then copy that template into template folder following the path C:>Program Files>c360>Templates>1084, etc.

To avoid the error, you must open the already built template on a client machine that has the c360 client installed. And you should open the template using the Open Template command in the c360 toolbar in Microsoft Word, make any changes, and then save the template using the Save Template command in the c360 toolbar.

When you go back and try the Print In Word button, the specific template will appear which you can choose and the Script Error will not appear. Normal/expected functionality should resume.
