Hi,

I need to represent some external in a list.  The user should have the option to select items from a list and then specify the order the items should be in.

This sounds like the GridPreferences control would be ideal for this use however how do I go about using it like this.

Here's a sample that shows you how you can use the GridPreferences control: http://www.c360.com/Forums/Topic707-39-1.aspx

Let me know if it helps.

I was looking for a little more control.  The main features I'm looking for was to show external data and the ability to prioritise that data into a preference order.

The control looks perfect if the sort order and sort drop downs could only be hidden.

Whoops.  Found out the list control will do this. Hadn't seen the control I have over either left or right lists.

Thanks anyway.

You're right: the list allows you to sort your data anyway you want but you may also want to look at the Dual List which has a list on the left and another on the right and allows users to select items and send them from one list to the other (very similar to the GridPreferences, but without the two drop downs at the bottom which you said you didn't want).

Hi,

I've had customer that had this issue and the deletion of the file fixed it temporarly. So basically it needs to be deleted every x number of days because it keeps occuring and this only for a few customers. Any idea why this is happening?
