A new release (Version 3.0.9) of the following c360 products for Dynamics CRM 3.0 has been released today. The products can be found on the regular product download page

Attached below are the release notes.

 

  1. Alerts
    • No changes since last release

 

  1. Audit

New Feature

    • An option has been added to the VASTAdmin tool that will force the tool to process not only new custom entities but existing ones as well

Fixed Issues

    • Locking exception while logging to a file. The application will successfully write logs related to CRM events to a file with appropriate locking mechanism.
    • Default view set from ‘Copy and Customize’ screen of Deleted Account does not work. This will allow user to set a default view from ‘copy & customize’ screen of a ‘Deleted Accounts’ filter.
    • Clicking on “Apply rule” option under “Actions” menu of Audit Analyzer displays an error message with GUID & does not apply the rule. This fix will allow user to apply ‘CRM Workflow rules’ to the records from Audit Analyzer and Audit Tracker actions menu.
    • Deleted On' date-time value in the “Deleted Contact” view does not reflect the correct time of deletion. The date-time stamp in the Analyzer Filter for deleted entity records differs from <entity> change summarymodifiedOn” date-time stamp by a number of hourly increments.
    • Audit Activity Parties copies all records for pre-existing Activity Edits. If the system contains pre-existing Activities prior to the install of Audit, and when one of these pre-existing Activities is edited - Audit will no longer copy all Activity Parties in the vscrmauditactivitypartybase table
    • System-created Filter/View "Deleted” yields error in Audit Analyzer. This fix will allow user to view deleted custom entity records on the Analyzer screen when ‘Delete<customentityname> filter’ is selected in Audit filters pick-list.
    • Options in System Views do not appear for Custom entity. If we create and register a new custom entity, the various options for System views now appear for the custom entity.
    • When a view is customized to include 'Additional fields'; Audit throws an exception in an installation wherein the SQL Server is installed using a non- default Case Sensitive Collation. This fix will allow user to successfully change the display type of entity fields to In additional fields from ‘copy & customize this view’ or ‘Customize this view’ section.

 

  1. Console

Fixed Issues

·         Search Cell using the Quick Find search field does not return results when using an apostrophe in search text. This fix will allow user to search entity records when the search criteria contains an apostrophe

·         Console Search Cell 'Search All', Export to Excel should be disabled.  When user performs ‘Search All’, Export to excel and Print option will not appear in the grid menu bar.

·         Search All results are not displayed in the order as configured in Search Preference screen. This fix will eliminate the problem related to ordering of fields configured for Search all. Now Search cell in console will show entity records in correct order as configured under search all tab.

·         Configured CRM view cell doesn’t refresh the cell properly on changing the view dropdown.When CRM View cell is configured to display ‘Views’ picklist, the cell grid will refresh and display configured entity records appropriately based on the view selected in the Views picklist.

·         Error is thrown while trying to configure record details cell from the console page. This fix will allow user to configure ‘Status’ field in the console’s Record detail cell for CRM entities.

·         Should be able to save the changes made to fields of custom entity in Record detail cell.  Using this feature, user will be able to edit and save changes to a custom entity record from ‘Record detail cell’ of console.

·         Console Record Details of Custom Entity different from CRM. This fix will eliminate the problem related to discrepancy in layout of  custom entity records in Record detail cell of console and CRM’s custom entity form. Now the console record detail cell for custom entity will have the same spacing as in CRM.

·         Web page dialog does not show deletion confirmation details when user tries to delete activities from CRM view grid. This fix will allow user to successfully delete the activity records configured in CRM view cell.

·         Filtering on "associated entities" cell in console does not filter results for custom entity. This fix will allow user to filter entities associated with a custom entity in the associated entity list cell of console.

·         A Server error is reported on changing the status reason field of custom entity record in Record detail cell and saving the changes. Now in Record detail cell, the status reason field will show only active option.

 

  1. Customer Portal

Fixed Issues

·         Case titles or description text with special characters are not correctly displayed.  This fix makes it possible for case titles or description texts containing special characters like single quotes to be correctly displayed on the Portal Customer Interface side.

·         Special characters not handled in Case Settings area of Portal.  This fixes the issue of special characters not being visible in the Case Settings area on the CRM side. Now users can add subjects etc. with special characters.

·         Default Subject assigned to service case from case settings cannot be viewed from Portal Interface side.  This fix allows users to view a subject for a case from the Portal Customer Interface side which has been assigned as a default subject from the Portal CRM interface side.

·         Application throws error when non-admin user tries to invite contacts. This fix allows users, who have been explicitly specified as administrators using the AdministratorRole key in the config file to invite contacts from CRM.

·         On changing the section selected in ‘Manage Profile settings’ page, the fields corresponding to the section selected do not get refreshed.This fix maintains consistency between the left and right pane of the Manage Profile screen on the CRM side. When a section is selected in the left pane, it appropriately refreshes the right pane.

·         System Garble – (Japanese Language version of MSCRM 3.0) This fix allows using backspace on the User Interface. Earlier when backspace was hit on the General Portal Settings, it used to display HTML text.

·         Resolved - Turkish- I issue in Turkish language version of MSCRM 3.0

·         Existing Portal users are invited to Portal membership from Portal Summary page of account record. This fix will make it impossible for the users to invite existing Portal users from the Portal Summary page of the account record.

·         When searching KB articles and selecting a specific subject no results are returned even though they exist.

·         Deactivated portal user can be invited for Portal membership from Portal Summary page of account record.  This fix solves the problem of deactivated users been invited from the Portal Summary page on the account record.

·         User cannot add a custom lookup field to case form from Portal CRM. This fix will allow users to add custom lookups from the Portal CRM Interface onto the case form.

 

5. Data Quality Center

Fixed Issues

·         Non Admin User role: On clicking "Post-callout settings" area, the error detail page which is displayed does not show any details but is displayed as a blank page. This fix will eliminate the issue related to blank page displayed, when a user with non administrative privileges access ‘Post-callout settings’ area.

·         Alternative comparison Rule: Server error. This fix will eliminate the issue related to duplication of fields when an entity field is de-selected from a Dual list box under Alternative Comparison rule section.

 

  1. Email Link
    • No changes since last release

 

  1. Email To Case

Fixed Issues

·         An email whose 'From' address in same as the account record is not processed to a case. Email whose 'From' address in same as the account record was not getting processed to a case. This has been fixed.

·         An email is not resolved by associating from address of the email with the email id of the newly created contact. This fix will eliminate the problem related to email not being converted to case, if the sender of the email is a newly created contact which is created through c360 Email to Case product.

 

  1. Field Level Security

New Feature

·          Report error messages to the client browser while managing preferences. This feature will allow user to see error messages that occur on the server and provide appropriate information as to whether the configuration setting is being saved correctly

Fixed Issues

·         Authenticated users do not have privileges on config.dat file. Now on installation of FLS, a Data folder is created inside V3 folder and authenticated users will be given appropriate privileges on this folder. Any file created on run time inside this folder will inherit the same privileges.

 

  1. Forecast Manager

Fixed Issues

·         Data in Forecast Manager grid not being saved when a sales stage with special characters in Stage names is applied to opportunity records.  This fix eliminates the issues related to Forecast Manager and Summary integration.  Now if summary is installed along with Forecast Manager, then Forecast Manager will successfully save data in all its fields which are configured in the grid.

 

  1. Multi Currency Management
    • No changes since last release

 

  1. Multi Field Search

Fixed Issues

·         Search all not returning custom entity records, if custom entity is created with special characters.  This fix will allow users to search for custom entities which contain special characters like ‘<’, ‘>’ etc.

·         JavaScript error on merging two records of similar type in Multi-Field grid.  This fix will allow users to appropriately merge two records belonging to the same entity type.

·         Search All Limit is behaving inconsistently for custom entities. This fix will allow users to apply search all limit to custom entities as well. Now, custom entity records will also be restricted with the help of this key in the user preferences file.

 

 

  1. My Workplace

Fixed Issues

·         In the grid when sorting activities and/or cases by Customer/Regarding column the GUID is used instead of the record’s name. This fix will allow users to alphabetically sort the activities and cases by Customer/Regarding column.

 

  1. Relationship Explorer

Fixed Issues

·         Custom entities in the relationship tree should show the custom icon. This feature allows the user to see the custom icons for the custom entity in the Relationship Explorer tree rather than the default icon.

·         Save and New option not working on editing any existing c360 relationships.  This fix resolves the issue of the Save and New option, which was not working when it was clicked from the form of an existing c360 relationship.

 

  1. Summary

Fixed Issues

·         Unable to see “Notes” for “contact” from Parent account.  This feature will allow the user to view Notes of a contact from the Object Summary; of its Parent account.

 

  1. SDK
    • No changes since last release

 

  1. Web Connect

Fixed Issues

·         When open history activities are created through c360 Web Connect, the activity is not supplied with a Regarding record.  This fixes the issue of the Regarding field being blank. Now, it will be appropriately filled with a lead/contact record.
