What I'm looking to do is hopefully simple and possible.

I'd like to have the ability for customers to log into the portal click on the custom tab and be able to do and see things that aren't case related.

This can be as simple as see a list of links, and be able to click on the hyperlinks.

Ideally I can pass parameters to those hyperlinks via form fields and retrieve them on the landing page with querystrings.

Ultimately I'd like to display stats from other applications (accounting) such as billing information, outstanding balances, requests for service changes (not problems).

I'm not a .net programmer (yet) but I have done extensive work with .asp pages.

Do I need to be a .net programmer? (to configure the custom tabs with .aspx files)

Can I display "simple" web pages or Iframes?

Can I display web forms?  Can these forms be populated from CRM contact fields?

If all else fails I can add a custom field to a users profile that is a hyperlink text field to the "Advanced Portal" view.

Any help is much appreciated.   Thanks in advance.

I am also very interested in understanding more about how to integrate other items into the custom tabs.

For example, I would love to have a forum like this one as one of my tabs where I can pass any user authentication information to the forum. That way they don't have to sign on twice. I looked at your forum provider and they say they have integration.

Another one we need to have is access to our FTP site for customers to be able to download large files.

Please let me know if this is possible. I'm a Premium Support customer if you need to know that for whatever reason.

Thanks!
