BI Analytics License Issue Workaround

Because of the way BI Analytics generates license requests, an issue has arisen when the vpc is installed on a host machine other that the one used to install BI Analytics. We’re still working on a solution, but in the meantime, we have a workaround to get you up and running:

1.       Using the SQL server Management studio, truncate the table dbo.Licenses in the BOStore database

2.       Open the file C:\Program Files\Analyzer\web\config\sysconfig.config (if you double-click on it, it should open in Visual Studio)

3.       Select Edit, Advanced, Format Document from the menu

4.       Select and delete everything between the <Licenses></Licenses> keywords

5.       Save and close the file

6.       Launch BI Analytics and register the key: 0FCF4-C5016-CAFEA-9DD36-167CD

After registering the key, you should be able to launch BI Analytics.
