Differencing Disk

c360 Microsoft CRM Virtual PC Differencing Disk

The c360 Microsoft CRM Virtual PC Differencing Disk works in conjunction with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Virtual PC Image and contains the latest version of all of the c360 products along with sample data and a demonstration guide. You can use this disk to easily add all c360 products to your current Microsoft CRM demo VPC without having to install the products individually. The benefits of using the c360 Microsoft CRM Virtual PC differencing disk are:

  • Pre-installed c360 products along with relevant sample data
  • Demoscript for all the c360 products to assist you in your demonstrations
  • Spend more time demonstrating CRM and c360 products than setting them up

Note -

  • The differencing disks provided by c360 work solely in conjunction with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Virtual PC demonstration disk for each respective version of Microsoft CRM.
  • The VPC should be the original version as downloaded from Microsoft and MUST NOT HAVE BEEN MODIFIED in any way.

Minimum System Requirements

  • Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003; Windows XP; Vista
  • Other Requirements: Personal Computer with 3.0 GHz or higher processor and at least 2.0 GB RAM.
  • 20 GB free hard drive space
  • Super VGA (1024*768) video adapter/monitor
  • Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 SP1 Software (2007 for v4)

Instructions on how to download and setup the c360 Differencing Disk

  1. Download all the files listed for the appropriate version of CRM to a temporary folder
  2. To extract the differencing disk, double-click the EXE file
  3. The files will extract the c360 differencing disk with the "VHD" extension (this may take several minutes)
  4. Copy the "VHD" file into the same folder as the Microsoft CRM VPC
  5. The c360 file has been created as a differencing disk and will automatically reference the Microsoft CRM VPC as a parent disk

Steps on how to setup the Virtual Machine

  1. Navigate to Start | All Programs | Microsoft Virtual PC Trial
  2. Click OK to start Microsoft Virtual PC Trial
  3. Click Next in the New Virtual Machine Wizard
  4. Select 'Create a virtual Machine' and click Next
  5. Choose a name for your Virtual Machine and click Next.
  6. Select the operating system (Windows Server 2003) and click Next
  7. Select the RAM allocation and click Next
  8. Choose 'An existing virtual hard disk' and click Next
  9. Browse out to the c360 "VHD" file that you extracted
  10. Select 'Enable undo disks' if you want this option or else just click Next.
  11. Click Finish
  12. Right click on the Virtual Machine name that you setup in step #5 and select Start to start the image.
